ENJOLRAS – Ben Paine - (March 26 to 29)
Ben
was infected with theatreitus at the ripe old age of 10 when he
appeared in the fiftieth anniversary Uni Revue Golden Knickers
(Running across the stage with his mother one Saturday night). Since
this heart felt and inspiring performance he has never looked back
appearing in numerous plays and musicals in Hobart including
Oliver, South Pacific, Trial by Jury, Back to
the 80's, Rent!, several Christmas pantomimes, 3 Uni
Revues and most recently as a principal in Exit Left's Cats.
Outside of Hobart Ben tours the state performing professionally for
groups such as 'Scallywags' (Entertaining rowdy children) and 'Funny
bits' (Entertaining rowdy footballers) spreading his love for the
stage. This marks Ben's 3rd performance of his favourite musical
Les Misérables
(And his fourth character!) over 8 years. So there's an estimated 18
more Les Mis appearances to go in his life in his life time!
He looks forward to the challenge of sinking his teeth into the
character of Enjolras at Hobart's fantastic Theatre Royal for the
final week of this stunning production.
