EPONINE – introducing Tess Hansen
20
year-old Tess Hansen is currently studying Music Theatre at the
University of Tasmania’s Conservatorium of Music.
Tess has been involved in many different musicals and dance
productions in Hobart over the past few years and is absolutely
thrilled to be cast as Eponine in Les Misérables.
Tess Hansen’s student experience includes A Class Act,
Aspects of Love and Pal Joey (Conservatorium of Music),
Odyssey’s End (an original contemporary dance work);
Songs For A New World
(Hutchins School); Jesus Christ Superstar and Back to the
Eighties (Hobart Summer Theatre School) Ten Wonderful Years
(istheatre limited), God Spell and Company (Rosny
College)
Tess began ballet at a young age, the start of her love of
performing, and she has continued dance training in a number of
different styles. Tess began singing as a result of writing her own
original songs and she became hooked on musical theatre after
participating in College musical productions.
Everyone involved in mounting this production of Les Misérables
is delighted and excited to be welcoming this wonderful performer to
the stage of the Theatre Royal in her first adult principal role.
