Les Miserables - " The World's Most Popular Musical"

ENJOLRAS – Scott Farrow  (March 12 to 24)

Scott FarrowScott’s honest portrayal of Jared in Blackrock and his acclaimed performance as heroin addict Mark Renton in Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting (Old Nick Company) confirmed his place as one of Hobart's finest actors. Scott has delivered many memorable performances since his stage debut at age 17 as Huck Finn in Big River at the Theatre Royal (Summerstock Theatre Company). Other early shows include Return to the Forbidden Planet, Sweet Charity, Don's Party, Our Town, Dimboola and the Hobart Rep Pantomime Sleeping Beauty.

Scott has since gone on to appear as Kenickie in Grease (Pierrot Productions), as the tortured musician Roger in RENT (ExitLeft), and in early 2007 Scott performed the role of the dim but charming orphan, Tobias Ragg in the critically acclaimed production of
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Shouting in the Evening). Most recently, Scott has been busy performing as the The Rum Tum Tugger in the arena spectacular Cats (ExitLeft).

A gifted singer, who can effortlessly manage styles from Rock to the Rat Pack, Scott has performed throughout the state in numerous cabarets, corporate events and concerts. He was a member of the choir that supported Michael Crawford at the Derwent Entertainment Centre on the Tasmanian leg of his Australian Tour. He has also lent his talents to support the hugely popular annual charity events 'Music for the Masses' and for the Hobart City Mission charity concerts entitled 'Me and My Friends'.

In May 2007, Scott was fortunate enough to be able to live out a dream by performing the role of Jamie in the Jason Robert Brown musical The Last Five Years – a personal favourite of Scott’s. This performance was extra special, as the producer-director of the production was Allison Farrow, Scott’s sister, and he performed opposite his real-life partner, Nicole Simms.
